Today’s car of the day is Dale Earnhardt Jr.’s 2001 Chevy Monte Carlo, and I saw it at the 2018 Barrett-Jackson Auction in Palm Beach. This is based on the sixth generation, which was made between 1999 and 2005 (model years between 2000 and 2005). The engine is a 5.7 liter V8 that produces 750 horsepower. The transmission is a 4-speed manual. The Monte Carlo was auctioned off for $165,000.
