Today’s car of the day is this ’96 Corvette Grand Sport that I saw at the 2018 Barrett-Jackson Auction in Palm Beach. It’s from the C4 generation, which was made between 1983 and 1996 (model years between 1984 and 1996). The Grand Sport was only made in 1996. The engine the LT4, which is a 5.7 liter V8 that produces 330 horsepower and 240 pound-feet of torque. The transmission is a 6-speed manual. This car does 0-60 mph in 5.1 seconds and has a top speed of 178 mph. Only 1,000 Grand Sports were made in 1996: 810 coupes and 190 convertibles.

Today’s car of the day is this 2011 Ferrari 599 GTO that I saw at Ferrari of Tampa Bay in December of 2017. The Ferrari 599 is a supercar that was made between 2006 and 2012. The GTO was made between 2010 and 2011. A total of 599 were built, and 125 of which came to the US. The engine is a 6 liter V12 that produces 661 horsepower and 457 pound-feet of torque. The transmission is a 6-speed semiautomatic. This car does 0-60 mph in 3.3 seconds and has a top speed of 208 mph.

Today’s car of the day is this Maserati 3500 GT Touring Berlina that I saw at Ferrari of Tampa Bay in December of 2017. The Maserati 3500 GT is a sports car that was made between 1957 and 1964. The engine is a 3.5 liter Tipo 101 straight-6 that produces 256 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque. The transmission is a 4-speed manual. Today’s car of the day is this 2014 Ferrari F12berlinetta that I saw at Ferrari of Tampa Bay in December of 2017. The Ferrari F12berlinetta is a supercar that was unveiled at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show, and was made between 2012 and 2017. The engine is a 6.3 liter V12 that produces 730 horsepower and 509 pound-feet of torque. The transmission is a 7-speed DCT. This car does 0-60 mph in 3.1 seconds and has a top speed of 211 mph.

Car of the Day 4/22/18

Today’s car of the day is this 2016 Porsche Cayman GT4 that I saw at Cars and Coffee in December of 2017. It’s a high performance version of the Porsche Cayman, and was unveiled at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show. The engine is a 3.8 liter flat-6 that produces 385 horsepower and 309 pound-feet of torque. The transmission is a 6-speed manual. This car does 0-60 mph in 4.4 seconds and has a top speed of 183 mph. This car weighs 2,955 pounds since the body is made of aluminum, and the chassis is an aluminum and steel monocoque.
