Today’s car of the day is this 2019 Shelby GT350 that was at the 2018 Daytona Turkey Rod Run. This is from the sixth generation of the Mustang, which has been in production since July of 2014 (the first model year was 2015). The engine is a 5.2 liter V8 that produces 526 horsepower and 429 pound-feet of torque. The transmission is a 6-speed manual. This car can do 0-60 mph in about 4 seconds and tops out at about 180 mph.
Today’s car of the day is this ’68 Mustang that was at the 2018 Daytona Turkey Rod Run. This is from the second phase of the first generation, which was made between August of 1966 and August of 1968 (model years between 1967 and 1968). The engine of this one is a 4.7 liter Windsor V8 that produces 200 horsepower and 285 pound-feet of torque. The transmission of this one is a 3-speed automatic.
Today’s car of the day is this ’39 Ford Deluxe Coupe that was at the 2018 Daytona Turkey Rod Run. The Ford Deluxe is a line of cars that was made between 1937 and 1940. The engine is a 3.6 liter V8 that produces 85 horsepower. The transmission is a 3-speed manual.

The engine of this one is the 440 Magnum, which is a 7.2 liter V8 that produces 375 horsepower and 480 pound-feet of torque. The transmission of this one is a 3-speed automatic.

Today’s car of the day is this ’68 Mercury Cyclone that was at the 2018 Daytona Turkey Rod Run. The Mercury Cyclone is a car that was built on the same platform as the Ford Torino. The engine of this one is a 7 liter V8, but I’m not sure how powerful it is. The transmission is a 4-speed manual. It was made as a tribute to Bud Moore and Tiny Lund, and it’s owned by Rich Moore.
Today’s car of the day is Jan Thompson’s ’63 Corvette Stingray, and I saw it at the 2018 Daytona Turkey Rod Run. This is from the C2 generation, which was made between 1962 and 1967 (model years between 1963 and 1967). This Corvette in particular is a dragster. I’m not sure what the engine is, how powerful it is, or what the transmission is. This Corvette can do the quarter mile in 7.16 seconds at 157.43 mph.
Today’s car of the day is this 1917 Ford Model T that was at the 2018 Daytona Turkey Rod Run. The Ford Model T is a car that was made between 1908 and 1927. The truck version was made between 1917 and 1927. The engine is a 2.9 liter straight-4 that produces 20 horsepower. The transmission is a 2-speed manual.
Today’s car of the day is this ’59 Chevy Impala that was at the 2018 Daytona Turkey Rod Run. It’s from the second generation, which was made between 1958 and 1960 (model years between 1959 and 1960).
