Here’s a 2019 Ram 1500 Classic. The Ram pickup is a line of trucks that’s been in production since 1980. This is from the fourth generation, which was made between 2008 and 2024 (model years between 2009 and 2024). The engine of this one is a 3.6 liter Pentastar V6 that produces 305 horsepower and 269 pound-feet of torque. The transmission of this one is an 8-speed automatic.
Here’s a ’64 Rambler Typhoon that was at the 2013 Daytona Turkey Rod Run. The Rambler Classic is a compact car that was made between 1961 and 1966. This is from the second generation, which was made between 1963 and 1964. The engine is a 3.8 liter straight-6 that produces 145 horsepower and 215 pound-feet of torque. The transmission is a 3-speed automatic. This car does 0-60 mph in 11.8 seconds and has a top speed of 102 mph.
That’s a ’95 Freightliner Classic that was at the 2013 Barrett-Jackson Auction in Palm Beach. The Freightliner Classic is a series of Semis that were made between 1990 and 2010. The engine is a 12.7 liter straight-6 that produces 500 horsepower. This one was modified to have a General Electric J79 afterburning turbojet (the same engine that powers the Lockheed F-104 Starfighter) that produces 10,000 pounds of dry thrust (15,600 with the afterburner). The transmission of this one is an automatic, but I couldn’t find out how many gears it has. This semi can reach 225 mph in 7 seconds with the J79.
