Here’s a 2015 Freightliner Sprinter. The Mercedes-Benz Sprinter is a van that’s been in production since 1995. Some Sprinters are made by Dodge, and others are made by Freightliner. This is from the second generation, which was made between 2006 and 2018. The engine of this one is a 3 liter OM642 CDI V6 that produces 154 horsepower and 280 pound-feet of torque. The transmission is a 5-speed automatic.

That’s a ’95 Freightliner Classic that was at the 2013 Barrett-Jackson Auction in Palm Beach. The Freightliner Classic is a series of Semis that were made between 1990 and 2010. The engine is a 12.7 liter straight-6 that produces 500 horsepower. This one was modified to have a General Electric J79 afterburning turbojet (the same engine that powers the Lockheed F-104 Starfighter) that produces 10,000 pounds of dry thrust (15,600 with the afterburner). The transmission of this one is an automatic, but I couldn’t find out how many gears it has. This semi can reach 225 mph in 7 seconds with the J79.
