The concept model for the i8 was unveiled at the Frankfurt Auto Show in Germany back in 2011 and was featured in the movie Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol. The car didn’t go into production until 2014. The engine is a 1.5 liter turbocharged straight-3 with a lithium ion battery that produce a total of 357 horsepower and 420 pound-feet of torque. The transmission is a 6-speed automatic, and it’s one of those transmissions where the driver can change gears with either the clutch or the paddle shifters. This car can do 0-60 mph in 4.5 seconds and tops out at 155 mph. The starting price of the i8 is $147,500.
