Today’s car of the day is this 2017 Porsche 911 Carrera Cabriolet that was at the 2018 Barrett-Jackson Auction in Palm Beach. It’s from the 991.2 series, which has been in production since 2015. The engine is a 3 liter flat-6 that produces 365 horsepower and 332 pound-feet of torque. The transmission of this one is a 7-speed PDK. This car does 0-60 mph in 4.6 seconds and has a top speed of 180 mph. This Porsche was auctioned off for $99,000.
Today’s car of the day is this 2009 Porsche 911 Turbo that was at the 2018 Barrett-Jackson Auction in Palm Beach. This is from the 997 series, which was made between 2004 and 2012 (model years between 2005 and 2012). The Turbo model made its debut at the 2006 Geneva Motor Show. The engine is a 3.6 liter twin turbo flat-6 with the Sport Chrono Package that produces 530 horsepower. The transmission of this one is a 5-speed automatic. This Porsche was auctioned off for $$71,500.
Today’s car of the day is this 2016 Porsche Cayman GT4 that I saw at Cars and Coffee in December of 2017. It’s a high performance version of the Porsche Cayman, and was unveiled at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show. The engine is a 3.8 liter flat-6 that produces 385 horsepower and 309 pound-feet of torque. The transmission is a 6-speed manual. This car does 0-60 mph in 4.4 seconds and has a top speed of 183 mph. This car weighs 2,955 pounds since the body is made of aluminum, and the chassis is an aluminum and steel monocoque.
