This is from the second phase of the sixth generation, which has been in production since 2017 (the first model year was 2019). The engine is a 5 liter Coyote V8 that produces 460 horsepower and 420 pound-feet of torque. The transmission of this one is a 10-speed automatic, but it can also come with a 6-speed manual. The starting price of the Mustang GT Convertible is $31,620.
Today’s car of the day is this 2006 Ford GT that was at the 2018 Barrett-Jackson Auction in Palm Beach. The Ford GT was made in 2005 and 2006 as a spiritual successor to the legendary GT40. The concept model was unveiled at the 2002 North American International Auto Show. The engine is a 5.4 liter supercharged Modular V8 that produces 550 horsepower and 500 pound-feet of torque. The transmission is a 6-speed manual. This car does 0-60 mph in 3.3 seconds and has a top speed of 205 mph. This car weighs 3,391 pounds since the body panels are composite and the chassis is an aluminum spaceframe. This Ford GT was auctioned off for $244,200.
Today’s car of the day is this 2007 Mustang GT Vortech Edition that was at the 2018 Barrett-Jackson Auction in Palm Beach. It’s from the first phase of the fifth generation, which was made between September of 2004 and December of 2008 (model years between 2005 and 2009). The Vortech Edition was unveiled at the 2006 SEMA Show, and only 100 were built. These were modded by Vortech Engineering and were sold by select Ford dealers. The engine is a 4.6 liter supercharged Modular V8 that produces 515 horsepower. The transmission is a 5-speed manual. This Mustang was auctioned off for $14,300.

The starting price of the Ford GT is about $500,000, and only certain people will be allowed to buy them.
