Today’s car of the day is this ‘67 Lincoln Continental that was at the 2013 Daytona Spring Show. This is from the fourth generation, which was made between 1961 and 1969. The engine of this one is a 7.6 liter MEL V8 that produces 340 horsepower and 485 pound-feet of torque. The transmission is a 3-speed automatic. This car does 0-60 mph in 8.7 seconds and has a top speed of 126 mph.
This is a ’56 Lincoln Continental that was at the 2018 Barrett-Jackson Auction in Palm Beach. This is from the second generation of the Continental, which was made in 1956 and 1957, and shares the same platform as the Ford Thunderbird. The engine is a 6 liter V8 that produces 285 horsepower and 402 pound-feet of torque. The transmission is a 3-speed automatic. This car does 0-60 mph in 11 seconds and has a top speed of 120 mph. This Lincoln was auctioned off for $102,300.
