Here’s a 2024 Volkswagen Golf GTI. The Volkswagen Golf is a compact car that’s been in production since May of 1974. This is from the eight generation, which has been in production since 2019 (the first model year was 2020). The engine is a 2 liter turbocharged EA888 Evo 3 TSI straight-4 that produces 241 horsepower and 273 pound-feet of torque. The transmission of this one is an 8-speed automatic.
Here’s a ’99 Honda Civic HX. The Honda Civic is a subcompact that’s been in production since 1972. This is from the sixth generation, which was made between September of 1995 and August of 2000 (model years between 1996 and 2000). The engine of this one is a 1.6 liter B16B DOHC VTEC straight-4 that produces 115 horsepower and 104 pound-feet of torque. The transmission of this one is a 5-speed manual.
