This is a ’65 Ford GT40 Competition Roadster Prototype that was at the 2019 Mecum Auction in Kissimmee. The Ford GT40 is a sports car/endurance race car that was made between 1964 and 1969. Only five GT40 Competition Roadster Prototypes were built, and this is one of the two that survived. The engine is a 4.7 HiPo V8 that produces 271 horsepower and 312 pound-feet of torque. The transmission is a 5-speed manual.
