This is a 2006 Ford GT Heritage Edition that was at the 2013 Barrett-Jackson Auction in Palm Beach. The Ford GT is a supercar that was made in 2005 and 2006 as a spiritual successor to the legendary GT40. The concept model was unveiled at the 2002 North American International Auto Show. The Heritage Edition was made to commemorate the 40th anniversary of Ford’s four-year winning streak at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, and only 343 were built. The engine is a 5.4 liter supercharged Modular V8 that produces 550 horsepower and 500 pound-feet of torque. The transmission is a 6-speed manual. This car does 0-60 mph in 3.3 seconds and has a top speed of 205 mph. This car weighs 3,391 pounds since the body panels are composite, and the chassis is an aluminum spaceframe.
