Today’s car of the day is the very first 2006 Corvette, and I saw it at the 2018 Barrett-Jackson Auction in Palm Beach. This is from the C6 generation of the Corvette, which was made between June of 2004 and February of 2013 (model years between 2005 and 2013). The C6 Corvette was unveiled at the 2004 North American International Auto Show in Detroit. The C6 Corvette coupes and convertibles built between 2005 and 2007 were powered by the LS2, which is a 6 liter V8 that produces 400 horsepower and 400 pound-feet of torque. The transmission of this one is a 6-speed automatic, but it can also come with a 6-speed manual. This car does 0-60 mph in 4.5 seconds and has a top speed of 180 mph. This Corvette was auctioned off for $38,500.

This generation of the GT500 is part of the fifth generation of the Mustang, which was made between 2004 and 2014 (model years between 2005 and 2014). This version of the GT500 was made between 2006 and 2009 (model years between 2007 and 2009). The engine is a 5.4 liter supercharged V8 that produces 500 horsepower and 475 pound-feet of torque. The transmission is a 6-speed manual. This Shelby was auctioned off for $33,000.

This is from the fifth generation, which was made between March of 2009 and November of 2015 (model years between 2010 and 2015). The ZL1 was unveiled at the 2011 Chicago Auto Show and was made between 2012 and 2015. The engine is the LSA, which is a 6.2 liter supercharged V8 that produces 580 horsepower and 556 pound-feet of torque. The transmission of this one is a 6-speed manual. This car does 0-60 mph in 4 seconds and has a top speed of 185 mph. This Camaro was auctioned off for $44,000.

It’s from the second phase of the fourth generation, which was made between 1999 and 2004. The Cobra R was made in 2000, and this is number 22 of the 300 built. The engine is a 5.4 Modular V8 that produces 385 horsepower and 385 pound-feet of torque. The transmission is a 5-speed manual. This car does 0-60 mph in 4.4 seconds and has a top speed of 175 mph. This Mustang was auctioned off for $53,900.

Today’s car of the day is this 2016 Shelby Terlingua that was at the 2018 Barrett-Jackson Auction in Palm Beach. The Shelby Terlingua is a high performance variant of the Mustang. The engine is a 5 liter supercharged Coyote V8 that produces 750 horsepower. The transmission is a 6-speed manual. This car does 0-60 mph in 3.5 seconds. I’m not what the top speed is, but I think it’s at least 200 mph.

Today’s car of the day is this 2008 Mosler MT900S that was at the 2018 Barrett-Jackson Auction in Palm Beach. The Mosler MT900S is a very rare supercar. In fact, only 20 of these were produced between 2003 and 2010. The engine is the LS7 (the same engine that’s in the C6 Corvette Z06), which is a 7 liter aluminum V8 that produces 505 horsepower and 470 pound-feet of torque. The transmission is a 6-speed manual. This car can do 0-60 mph in 3.1 seconds and has a top speed of about 200 mph.

Today’s car of the day is this 2018 Shelby GT350 that was at the 2018 Barrett-Jackson Auction in Palm Beach. The engine is a 5.2 liter V8 that produces 526 horsepower and 429 pound-feet of torque. The transmission is a 6-speed manual. This car can do 0-60 mph in about 4 seconds and tops out at about 180 mph, so it’s not as fast or as powerful as the 2013/2014 Shelby GT500. The starting price of the new Shelby GT350 is $55,940.

The new Ford GT was unveiled at the 2015 North American International Auto Show, and is being made 2016 and 2020. A total of 1,000 will be built. The engine is a 3.5 liter twin turbo Ecoboost V6 that produces 647 horsepower and 550 pound-feet of torque. The transmission is a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic. This car weighs 3,054 pounds since the body panels are carbon fiber and the chassis is a carbon fiber monocoque. This car does 0-60 mph in 2.8 seconds and has a top speed of 216 mph. The starting price of the Ford GT is about $500,000, and only certain people will be allowed to buy them.

Today’s car of the day is this 2018 Dodge Challenger Demon that was at the 2018 Barrett-Jackson Auction in Palm Beach. It’s from the third generation, which has been in production since 2008. The Demon was unveiled at the 2017 New York Auto Show, and even made it’s film debut in The Fate of the Furious. Tim Kuniskus is the man behind the project, and he presented the car while the song “Fuel” by Metallica was being played. The engine is a 6.2 liter supercharged V8 that produces 840 horsepower and 770 pound-feet of torque. The transmission is an 8-speed automatic. This car weighs 4,279 pounds since the chassis is unitary steel. This car does 0-60 mph in 2.3 seconds. I’m not sure what the true top speed is because one source says that it’s 207 mph, and another says it’s 168 mph. The starting price of the Demon is $86,090, and 3,300 are being built. 3,000 are being sold in America, and the remaining 300 will be sold in Canada.
